Join us as Dr. Dan Forman takes us through a veritable catalog of diseases that affect songbirds at our feeders and discusses other causes of morbidity and mortality that are causing population declines in our wild birds. Dan's discussion will include avian Salmonellosis, which severely impacted Western songbirds this past spring; West Nile virus, which has affected 250+ species; feeder hygiene (incredibly important!); predation by cats (keep them inside); and human-caused deaths (windows, wind turbines, etc.).  AND what we can do about it!

Dan Forman has long been known as one of the most respected veterinarians in our area and along with MJ LaRue Forman founded Spring Creek Animal Hospital.  Dan has a specialty in wild bird treatment and rehabilitation and is especially known as an expert on raptor health.  Presently Dr. Forman serves as the Board Chair of the Teton District Board of Health.
